| Jasmine is a female Carpet python hatched in 2016. Carpet pythons have a broad base of the head, distinct neck, vertical pupils, and heat pits on the snout and lips. Colouring varies significantly from subspecies to subspecies, with a pattern that can be banded, spotted, or blotched. There are 6 sub species of Carpet pythons and Jasmine is a cross of Coastal X Jungle. Carpet pythons can be found throughout Australia, excluding southern Victoria and the arid central and western regions. But this species is highly adaptable, and may be found in tropical forest, dry woodland, savanna woodland, rocky outcrops, and even in urban areas. They are semi-arboreal snakes, so their enclosures require some height. As is common with arboreal snakes they are known to have some very large teeth and can be very food motivated as juveniles and as such do not make an ideal beginner snake. | |||
